"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."
-William Morris

Conversations and connections made around the table create wonderful memories. Loving the time spent around the table with family and friends motivated me to begin making tableware thirty years ago, and I've never looked back.
For the Table

Although mine is more of a wild place shared with deer, raccoons, skunks, squirrels and wild turkeys, my garden, with its many birds and redwood trees, provides constant inspiration.
For the Garden

Process
I love the focus, preoccupation and
process of making things. Everything I
create is hand-crafted in my home studio
in Northern California, surrounded by
redwood trees, nature and wildlife. All have
influenced me in designing simple pieces
reflecting the quiet, calm beauty of the
natural world.

The pieces we use and the things we look at day after day should add beauty to our environment and make us happy when using them. Whether making a platter, a lamp or a garden sculpture, my goal is to contribute beauty, simplicity and a sense of harmony through my work.
"Always look for the extraordinary in the ordinary."
