Clay, and the processes involved in it, have intrigued me for over 30 years. I first discovered pottery through a community class in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Since then, I have attended numerous workshops and classes, learned a great deal from potters I admire and respect, and had fun teaching and sharing clay with children, adults and seniors. I am constantly challenged and inspired by this life in clay.
My pottery is slab built, wheel thrown and/or cast from original molds. Most pieces are a combination of at least two of these processes.
Once constructed, each piece is textured, altered or finished individually. Glazes are hand-mixed in my studio. All pieces are high-fired in an electric kiln.
